Timothy Kane advises EMAlpha on AI, cloud infrastructure, scalable systems, and data security. He is a veteran technology leader with deep experience applying technology and building teams across buy-side firms. Over his career, Tim has worked closely with high, medium, and low frequency trading strategy teams in the financial industry, giving him a unique perspective on how infrastructure, security, and data platforms can directly enable investment performance. He is currently Head of Technology Infrastructure Security at Point72, where he oversees the resilience and protection of the firm’s global systems. Prior to this, he was Director of Technology Infrastructure at Dorilton Capital and earlier served as Chief Technology Officer at FDO Partners, a quantitative investment firm. He holds a degree in Computer Science from Syracuse University.
